New paint

The landlord has done some some subbtle upgrades to the house. The one I like the best is they painted the house. It is not longer that icky blue. It is a rich tan with white trim.

However, there is one problem, I have driven past the darn house a couple of times during the day. I am just not use to the change as of yet.

I am thankful for my 2 week vacation and my pending trip to Santa Barbara!!!

Today was fun. I attended, briefly, a potluck at the TCC unit at the hospital during my lunch break. I got to chat with coworkers. It was a quick in and out thing. Though, I did get a few gifts. The hospital gave us movie passes. My boss, Robin, gave me this elegant mug.

But, the best part of the day was getting my gift from Bird. I was given The Pigeon from the Mo Willems' books. I am thrilled to death.

"Dear Miss Cat, Turbo came home asking me to call you and invite you to our house. Then he started cleaning and saying he wants to have the house cleaned for you. At the end his sister had to call and said it was you then he relaxed. We were going to call you but, probably you were busy. Thank you!"

This sweet boy has been talking to me for the past couple of week to come visit. I didn't know he was all a flutter today for me to actually come over. This was one of the sweetest emails ever!!!! I hope I get to go visit him at home.

Some days are just ICKY!

Today, I got spat on like... all day!!! Then I lost one of my supervision cases for reasons... ah well!!!! Life it just like this some times... I can not control the universe, so I ain't trying, much any more.

OMG!! This movie is utterly awful!!!! So ends my ick of a day!!!!

BICM test... AKA a day to play HOOKIE!!!

Woke up feeling like crap, actually couldn't truly wake up. Took Hermione with me to the SELPA to take my BICM test. I have no feelings on how I did. I am just thrilled that part is over for now. I have my BIP to complete. After all that, Hermione and I headed to the beach, in the rain. We has about a 10 to 20 minute window of no rain. But it was wonderful to watch Hermione run amuk!

In a galaxy far far away....

I purchased a few Star Wars action figures for the classroom. You see, Bird is currently in love with R2D2. I thought, I better add a few friends to so others can play.

Prior to this Bird was hanging out with me. He had R2D2 and was playing. I dug out a few Star War happy meal toys. I gave him Darth Vader, who makes laser beam noises and does that funky breathing. Bird was interested. He sat in our "waiting area" (aka time out) playing with good ole Vader. I over heard him saying to Vader, "Did you take a picture of Mz Cat working at her desk?" OK, that was a giggle. He played quietly a few more minutes. Then I hear, "Why are you breathing funny?" OK, I laughed hard enough to almost fall out of my chair. I went over to try my best to explain why Vader breaths funny. I don't think truly understood, but in time. He and I started playing. I had to help him out on how to do it. I was Vader and he was R2D2. I chased R2 around making my bestest laser noises. He tried too. It was a whole lotta fun!!!

So tomorrow, I am going to bust out the action figures and get on the floor and we are going to learn how to play with action figures!!!! Honestly, I can not wait!!!!!

Do you think, the parents will be angry if I call them now to bring the kids to school right now to play with me?????

Acronym Soup

This year has been filled with lots of trainings: ABA, behavior, BICM, etc... The BICM class has been one I had to pay for myself since the district would not pay for me to take it. I had to use my personal days (aka sick days) to attend. Ah, I ain't complaining. It has been so worth it. I didn't do my BIP for the class. I will work on that this weekend and hopefully turn it in on Monday when I take my test. Thankfully it is open book!!!!! It will come together in the end.

Things in the classroom have settled nicely at least with the kids. Staff, well, there are still issues. Some are angry with me and taking it out by trying to take control over EVERY THING when I am out of the room and sometimes even when I am in the room. My assertiveness has grown, but damn I really don't wanna take this next step. Stupid people, stupid, stupid, stupid!!!!!

Tomorrow the Behaviorist arrives to supposedly help us out. I know I have a lot of room to improve, BUT I honestly cant wait to see how the staff deals with being told how to do things, etc. I may either cry or laugh til I pee... I will keep ya posted!!!!!
